The 1879 Emlen Physick Estate, Cape May’s only Victorian House Museum, is attributed to Philadelphia architect Frank Furness and is one of the finest examples of “Stick Style” architecture in America. Operated by the non-profit organization Mid-Atlantic Center for the Arts, it features living history exhibits and daily house tours.

Home of the Greater Cape May Historical Society, this house was built in 1775. Originally a tavern and the family home of Revolutionary War patriot Memucan Hughes, the front room features a historic exhibit that changes every year. Several other rooms are always open to the public , all offering different information on the history and legend of the area.
